Duncan was up this morning at 7:45 and Violet slept until - get this - 8:45!!! Poor girl. Neither of my children are feeling well. Good news, though, is that it's so hot outside that we don't really want to go anywhere anyway!
We did venture out today to see the doctor, though. We love our doctor, and the entire practice. She's completely fine with me using the oils, and said keep doing what I'm doing, but gave me prescriptions for both kids just in case I need/want them. Neither of them have an ear infection, but they each have one "bulging" ear drum, so it could turn into one or it could be on the mend. No way to know for sure. But that's good news, I guess. So we'll keep doing what we're doing. Violet hasn't coughed all day, but she is still extra fussy, and Duncan just isn't himself.
After the doctor, we went to my mom and dad's for lunch and naps. We had pizza for dinner (made the dough at my mom's - I've got it down to a science now) and then had bath and bedtime. Violet just woke up to nurse much earlier than normal, so I'm hoping that's not a sign of things to come tonight. Duncan fell asleep earlier than usual.
This weekend ... farmer's market tomorrow, lunch at Mark's (as usual!), and after naps we're visiting and eating dinner with Eric's family since Elizabeth is in town. Diana is planning on visiting with us tomorrow evening and spending the night, then leaving for Atlanta on Sunday morning. The only plan I have on Sunday is speaking to a childbirth class in the evening. Should be a great weekend.
