Paleo, day 6
Breakfast: fried egg, 2 pieces of bacon, apple
Lunch: spinach salad
snack: grapes
Dinner: spinach salad
Snack: 1 slice paleo bread, 1 grain-free protein bar
Great day spent with family.
When we woke up this morning, Duncan was downstairs reading a book on the couch. So sweet!
Spent the morning with Eric's parents - discussed updates to their house and had a nice lunch.
While the kids napped, I went to Rainbow Blossom, Target, and Costco. When I arrived back to my mom's, I noticed that I didn't have my wallet. Crap. Eric jumped back in the van with me and I sped back to Costco. My wallet was still in the cart, and the cart was still way out in the parking lot in the corral. Phew! The lesson here? It pays to park far away, and park your cart even farther away.
Dinner was pleasant enough, though Violet was fussy and Duncan was hyper. He's been getting quite crazy in the evenings ... don't know if he's tired or what, but we're adapting to it. He was in his room for bedtime a little earlier that normal tonight.
I spent the evening baking/experimenting with new recipes. I baked a simple paleo bread, and then made some grain free granola bars for myself. The bars are more tasty than the bread, but the bread will be good for either a breakfast sandwich or maybe some toast or bread crumbs. I'm going to attempt making my own almond milk this week!
I'm also oogling over Blendtecs right now. Last night, I even dreamed that I made that tortilla soup stuff and then saw the steam when I opened the lid. Haha! Here's that awesome video ...
And with that, I'm off to bed. :o)
OLYMPICS on Friday! Yay!
