Wow, May 11th? Yikes. Didn't realize it's been that long!
Violet is 6 weeks old! I am sucking at taking pictures lately ... I need a photographer to follow me around. My mom informed me the other day that our regular picture place in the mall closed. :o( Really sad about this. But Violet is smiling (with a lot of coaxing) and most nights are pretty good. Last night she went to sleep at 10:30 and we nursed back to sleep once in the middle of the night. We woke up at 7:00. Our next doctor appointment isn't until the middle of June, but I think she's nearing 13 pounds - she feels heavier every day. I wear her almost all day long in the Moby if we're inside, or in the Beco if we're out. It's where she's happiest. She's also big enough now to fit in BumGenius exclusively, so we're washing diapers pretty much every day. they're getting lots of drying time in the sun, though, so they still look pretty good. Breastfeeding is going great - keeping my fingers crossed for it to stay that way!
Duncan is ... well, he's two and a half. He's hard to deal with sometimes, but sometimes he surprises me. His favorite things to say right now are "no" and "watch mommy." He jumps and screams a lot, and likes to sleep behind his bedroom door rather than in his bed. As long as he sleeps, I'm not worried about it. Perhaps the biggest 'milestone' right now, though, is that he sits on the potty (which he calls "Elmo" thanks to a book he likes to read) whenever he has to poop (and sometimes to pee) - granted, he still has his diaper on when he does this, but it's definitely a start! He's made the connection, though.
The basement is SO close to being finished. I am so proud of Eric for completing this big project. Right now he is downstairs painting the ceiling. After that, the ONLY thing left for him to do is paint the walls. We have to go pick out carpet soon, and once it's installed we can assemble the new futon and bookshelves from Ikea that we purchased yesterday! Duncan is going to love it down there. We also bought an easel for him, and a hanging chair.
I am not ready for it to be June and I'm not ready for the heat.
Bedtime. Wahoo!

1 Observations or Opinions:
Sounds like things are going really well for you all and that you're adapting to your new role as 'mommy of two' really well. I can't wait to see some recent pictures of Violet and Duncan! We'll have to plan a day to get the families together soon!
