School

It seems ridiculous that it's already time to be thinking about preschool, but we are ... right now, I'm planning on touring 3 places. Schools seem to fill up so fast these days, and I know that most of them are already accepting applications for next fall. Yikes!
We put up Duncan's bed on Friday and he loves it! Has yet to sleep in it, of course, but he likes to be on it and cover himself up.
Eric is painting the inside of the new tv cabinet white as I type - it looks so cool! The doors will be added in a few weeks, probably, because the hinges have to be special ordered. Our very next items on the list are painting our kitchen table and priming Duncan's new room ... neither of which I will be doing personally. This is one of those "pregnant-we" things. Haha!
18 weeks tomorrow. Hard to believe! Felt the baby a few times on Friday/Saturday, but not any today.
Today I went to Ballard's auditorium to watch the Oireachtas (regional Irish dance competition) dancers have their dress rehearsal. It was a weird mix of feelings as I watched Mr. Weaver talk to my former Irish dance teacher ... my world in high school revolved around choir and dance, and they had never crossed paths before (that I know of, anyway). And today, they were in the same room. Not to mention I felt old because it's been 10 years since I went to Oireachtas. Despite the rush of nostalgia, the dancing was good. Wish I could have stayed to watch more, but mommyhood called.
For the majority of last week, we thought Eric was going to be heading to Mexico this week, but thanks to some awesome work down there, the build is over and my husband can stay in this country! That, in and of itself, makes me know that this week will be a good one.
