Anxious

I am trying so hard not to be anxious about this pregnancy. We have heard the heartbeat twice, and I'm growing and having heartburn and all of those lovely things, but ... I still haven't felt this baby move, and it makes me so nervous. I did not feel Duncan move until 20 weeks. Today I am 19 weeks and 2 days. So, why worry, right? Because ev-er-y-one says that you feel the second baby sooner just because you 'know what you're looking for,' and you're 'more in tune with your body.' Well, that comment just makes me feel like crap and like I'm not in tune with my body at all. Next Friday cannot come soon enough so we can hear this little one's heartbeat again (though I'll be with my mom because Eric has a review).
Looking forward to a relaxing 4-day weekend ... except tomorrow will most likely not be relaxing because lunch is scheduled for 1:00 in a house that will be filled with almost 20 people. What does that equal? No nap for Duncan. Other than that, I am thankful!
Really enjoying prenatal yoga. Also really loving my birth class, Birthing From Within. It's just what I was looking for. Hard to explain ... but I wanted to take something that was more than the logistics of birth and newborn care, etc. Check out the website if you really want to know what it's all about. :o)
Black Friday disgusts me somewhat. I guess it's good that there are good deals that help people afford some things that they really need, but the ads that claim you need more, more, more frustrate me ... and making those poor employees work at 3am? I think that's awful.
Went to the Voces Novae concert on Sunday. I miss singing.

Everyone told me the same thing! That's why I was completely freaked out when I hadn't felt this baby move! I even called my midwife multiple times with concern. She reassured me that everyone is different and that's not the case. I still wasn't sure if what I was feeling was the baby or gas for a while;o) Then he/she FINALLY started kicking more and now it's constant:o) I totally feel your anxiousness. It will happen, sooner than later. I know that probably doesn't help, but I just know exactly how you feel right now.
Happy Thanksgiving! Hope Duncan survives:o)
I know that I am the one who said those things about usually feeling the baby earlier and why. Just remember that this all falls within the scope of normal. You WILL feel this baby and all will be well. I'm sorry if I made you feel bad. You look great and the little one will make his/her presence known to you very soon. Hugs.
ps: I don't have any idea why it chose to use Jane Doula last time (a name I made up for a teaching thing.) That was me, Ashley.
@Ashley - I was wondering, LOL. It said who you were when I clicked on the name, though. :o)
