Simple

I am slowly trying to distance myself from all things complicated. This makes for much less stress in almost all areas of my life. The decorating we are doing downstairs is going to be simple - colors, lines, accessories. We chose not to have a "theme" for Duncan's nursery - just colors. I try to get everything ready for the next day (diaper bag, menu ideas for dinner, laundry) the night before; this way I am not scurrying around trying to figure out what needs to be done. I have de-cluttered a lot of the house, my email, and our snail mail (you can sign up for things that will close-to-eliminate your junk mail each day, like credit card offers, etc.). I will continue to work on this in the upcoming months and years! The basement will be the biggest hurdle because we'd both like it to not only be useful for storage, but to be functional for Eric's "work" around the house, and also eventually a small play area for our child/children. Right now there is no organization to it at all, and this stresses me out. Yes, clutter and mess stress me out!
Our choir retreat was today! I had fun, but I'm glad that it's over. The music for our next concert all have Shakespearean texts; plus, the concert happens to be at my old high school WITH my high school choir and choir director, so I am looking forward to it!
Tomorrow on the agenda: purchase our new couch! :o) Still trying to sell our old ones if anyone knows anyone.
