Can't believe it's Friday already. This has been kind of a rough week because Duncan hasn't felt well, but he's on the mend! He only woke up at 12 and 4 last night - wahoo!
On Wednesday afternoon, my eye started hurting, so I took out my contacts and started wearing my glasses. Yesterday morning it wasn't any better, so my mom thought I should get it looked at. I have a really bad abrasion! So the doctor gave me a "contact bandage" to wear, and I have had to put eye drops in every hour (except for when I'm sleeping). I have to go back today to see about a steroid or something to put in my eye to make the redness go away. She said I could just wear my glasses a while instead, and I'll probably opt for that because I don't like the idea of using a steroid while I'm breastfeeding - even if she did say it's perfectly safe.
We painted the living room last night! The whole downstairs is a mess, so I will wait to take pictures until it looks reasonable. It only took us one hour to do it. Yay us. I also bought curtains yesterday for the living room. Haven't decided what to do about kitchen curtains. I really like this chair (recliner is going upstairs), but Eric wants to wait on other furniture. I think I've decided that the accent color is going to be green (pillows, etc.), so I like the green chair. Diana suggested paying some profession piano movers to put the piano in the basement. We're actually considering it, because we definitely don't want to get rid of the piano, but it limits our options in the living room ... Duncan won't be interested in really playing for another 3 years, at least, maybe more. So right now it just takes up room.
We're trying to sell our couches on craigslist, but no luck so far. We did sell our bed, though! So that's some money toward the new couch. :o)
Hopefully Duncan will take two good naps today. Yesterday we didn't get up until 9:20, so he didn't want to take his morning nap. When he finally went down for his second nap at 2:30, he only slept an hour. BOO. But he was still pretty good the rest of the day.
Choir retreat all day tomorrow.
