Home safely

Eric arrived home safely on Friday afternoon. Duncan was very happy to see him! That evening we went to pick up our framed picture from Flash Digital Portraits and enjoyed a calm dinner with my parents at Jason's Deli.
Saturday ... very busy day! We headed to Mama's Hip first to buy a diaper sprayer. It is time. :o) Saw some old friends, some cute babies, and headed to Kohl's. We bought a new bedspread and 2 shams. I love them! Back to my mom and dad's for naptime, where Duncan proceeded to talk in the crib for 2 hours instead of sleeping. Very odd, but he seemed fine and happy when we finally got him up. Shopped at the Summit for a little bit - it was a beautiful day! I exchanged/bought some things at Loft, and then we headed home. For dinner, we enjoyed a pasta/chicken/vegetable dish, and Duncan sucked/chewed/gnawed on some broccoli.
On Sunday we decided to go to church in the pouring rain. The early service is at 8:45, which works out quite well for us because of Duncan's naps (or lack thereof). He did very well in church! It was a bit of work, and he talked a little bit, but he was in good spirits. It was good to see Pastor Paul again. Eric has been going to this church for 18 years, and I've been going since 2002 when we started dating. I enjoy it okay - I like the fact that we've been there for so long, and that we got married there, and that Duncan was baptized there. They do have a pre-school, too, which we'll probably look into. After church we visited with Eric's parents for a while (where Duncan refused to nap again), then headed to the grocery and finally home. We made turkey white bean chili and cornbread for dinner. Very good! I worked on a job the entire night ... didn't get to bed until 12:30!
Today we were supposed to have someone look at the house but they canceled. I was pretty upset about it for a few hours, coupled with the fact that Duncan wouldn't nap again, but I am better now. We'll just keep trying ... and I have to keep telling myself that if it's meant to be then it will work out! It's hard to remember sometimes.
Eric will be home soon and I am going to choir tonight. Yay!
Oh, and Duncan fell asleep right away when we got home. He's been sleeping for 2 hours. :o)
