Feeling great!

Each day is getting so much easier. I really miss Eric while he is at work ... but I am beginning to see a routine form each day, and it's great. Usually we wake up when Eric leaves for work (or a little after), Duncan eats a little bit, and then he falls back asleep. While he's asleep, I take a shower and get ready for the day. Depending on how long he sleeps, I can do some laundry, eat breakfast, and get a few other things done, too. That's about as far as we've gotten with the routine, except that I know he takes an afternoon nap (usually falls asleep between 12 and 1) and sleeps a fairly long time, and then he has an evening nap, around 4 or 5. That's all so far. Bedtime has been a bit rough the past few nights because I get impatient (sorry Eric), but once he does finally fall asleep for the night, he sleeps really well! Last night we finally got to sleep around 12:30. He slept until 4, and then from 4:30 to 8. It was really nice. :o)
I had an appointment with Melissa, our lactation consultant, this morning at 11:30. Our meeting went well, even though Eric wasn't there. It was a bit more frenzied than usual - Duncan peed all over the changing table when I was getting him undressed to get weighed. I also soaked through my tank top that I was wearing because he was crying. However, Duncan weighs a whopping 10 pounds 8 ounces now, and he took in almost 3 ounces of milk during our appointment! Yay Duncan! :o) Afterward, I met my mom at Calistoga for lunch while Duncan slept in the Moby.
Last night, Rob and Ashley finally got to meet the baby. We were going to watch Idol, but the Presidential Address took precedence, and Idol is on tonight instead. Oh well.
Sounds like he's waking up, so I'd better get ready to feed him.
