Hospital and other stuff

We toured the Labor/Delivery/Recovery and Postpartum Recovery parts of Norton Suburban last night. I really liked it. You spend your labor, delivery and then one hour post delivery in one room. Then they move you to your other room. The baby stays in the room with you the whole time, so that's pretty cool. They also do the "skin to skin contact" thing right after the baby is born. So pretty much right after he or she comes out, you get to hold them. Of course they'll suction and clean them off and all that stuff, but yeah ... I think that's pretty cool. Maybe it just hasn't hit me yet, but I am so excited about the physical act of having the baby. I know it will be painful and all that stuff, but for some reason, I am still looking forward to it.

After our tour last night, Eric and I had dinner by ourselves at Olive Garden. We haven't been out by ourselves like that for quite a while, so it was really nice. We talked about the hospital and our thoughts about it. We also brought half of our meals home so we have yummy lunches today. :o)

We finished Season 3 of "The Office" last night and Season 4 comes out on DVD on September 2nd, so we will be looking forward to that! Yay Jim and Pam! :o)

The crib bedding is out for delivery, so we'll be going to Lowe's tonight to get paint chips and see if we can get inspired, hehe. Other than that, we don't really have any plans for the weekend. We are going to try to get the futon from my mom and dad's and then we're selling the bed and dresser that's currently in our guest room for them. We keep forgetting to take pictures of that stuff so we can put it up - I'm sure we won't have any problems selling them.

I tried to take a belly picture this morning, but the outfit that I'm wearing is patterned and it looked kind of funny. Maybe next week.
