The week so far

My appointment on Monday morning went very well. Eric had a meeting that morning, so my mom went with me. We listened to the heartbeat (160s) and Dr. Graves answered some questions that I had. The only bad (well, not really bad) thing was that I HAVE to be 20 weeks for my big ultrasound - no scheduling early at this office. She said that the ultrasound techs get mad at her if she lets women do it early. So, because of jury duty, I have to wait an extra week to find out if our baby has a penis or not. :o) Hehe. Anyway, the big day is September 22nd. It's really not that far away - it just seems like it now. And Chrissy made a good point: it may seem far away, but once you know, you'll know forever! Which is very true. OH, I only gained ONE pound. I couldn't believe it. So that's 4 pounds in 4 months, which I find unbelievable considering how much I've been eating. Guess the little one is hungry in there!
Choir on Monday night was good - those of us in the front row (I am there for this concert because I will be sitting down!) have to wear sweatshirts because it is so dang cold up there. However, I am really enjoying most of the music and having a good time.
Work yesterday went by quickly. It usually does.
We are touring the hospital tomorrow night at 5:45. I know it seems early, but the lady on the phone said it doesn't matter when you do it. Plus, I really like to have a visual of where I am going to be. Visual person -->me. Haha. ALSO, Eric and I started talking about the nursery yesterday. We have decided on a color (light green) regardless of the gender, and that we want black furniture. So, in order to get started on that, Eric let me order the bumper and the crib skirt that we like. For some reason, this "set" on target.com does not come as a set. They are all the same brand and pattern, but all the pieces are sold separately. Still, all of the stuff together that we want is just a little over $100, as compared with A LOT more for other sets at Target and elsewhere. So anyway, considering we don't have anything to do this weekend, we may start working on painting or getting paint chips or something like that. Yay! But the reason we ordered the bedding was to make sure the paint matches.
Last night, Eric and I successfully did absolutely nothing but sit on the couch and watch "The Office." Hehe. Pam and Jim are so cute. We are in the middle of Season 3, and we can't wait to see what happens.
OH, so in honor of week 17 ...
Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints.
