Here's to brighter days

Thanks for Chrissy and Marianne for that title. :o)

So ... all I have to say is: THANK GOODNESS today is over!

I took Nyquil before bed last night and that got me through until about 3 or 4, I think. Then, I coughed CONSTANTLY. In addition, I had chills and diarrhea. So, I was in desperate need of water, a cough drop, and I know I was dehydrated because I couldn't cry. It SUCKED. So, I suffered through it and after I got all my bloodwork done, peed in the cup, had an EKG, had my IV put in, and was all tucked into my hospital bed in my gown, I felt a little bit better. I still had a temperature of 101 when I went in to surgery.

When I woke up, I felt so much better. I wasn't in pain, I got my Sprite that I needed, and my temperature was down. I got to leave shortly after that.

Dr. Graves told me I should take the rest of the week off to rest and recover from both the surgery and the upper respiratory infection that I have. Right now I am just having cramps and I feel like I need to always lay on my back so I can keep my stomach and all the other stuff stretched out. It feels better that way.

In addition to the Z-Pack that I am taking for the respiratory infection, I'm taking a drug that starts with an M that makes my uterus contract (i.e. gives me cramps) to stop the bleeding. I'm also on Naproxen for that pain.

I guess that's all for now. I'll post again tomorrow night once Eric gets home from work.
