ONE DAY

I apologize for the lack of posts ... no excuse, really. Just too lazy. But lots of things have been going on in the past two weeks.
I gave my two weeks on that Monday, the last day I posted. Derrick offered to let me stay and work two days a week until I find a new full time job. Isn't that nice. :o) Jesica is the new assistant manager. She's feeling overwhelmed, as she should. It takes some getting used to, there is no question about that. I have been looking for and applying to jobs pretty much daily. Haven't really heard anything good yet, but maybe they will come in waves! Sigh.
Eric arrived home on the 9th and we pretty much spent all weekend watching tv. I went to a baby shower, which didn't help my yearning, but I think I've gotten Eric to be a little less freaked out. :o) So that's definitely a good thing in my book!
This past Sunday I had my first choir concert with Voces Novae and it was amazing. I am so excited to be singing a choir again - I love it! Last night we recorded some songs and then got music for the Christmas thing we're doing for the radio. It's going to be playing on Christmas Day on 90.5, so everyone listen if they can! :o)
So tomorrow is my last full time day. I am ECSTATIC. These next few weeks have a lot of good things in store for myself and for Eric, too. That doesn't include a job, but that will be an added perk! In addition to Thanksgiving and Eric having days off, next weekend will be packed full of fun! Friday night is pizza night at Zarek's, Saturday is skiing with the Northcuts and then a birthday party for Rob. Then Sunday is the recording for the Christmas thing with Voces Novae. Wahoo.
I have a lot of Christmas spirit, and I'm already listening to the music in my car, but I refuse to put up Christmas lights before Thanksgiving. It doesn't make any sense. They should stop calling them Christmas lights and call then November and December lights. It bothers me to no end. Also, today it was 70 degrees. Tomorrow it's going to storm and the high on Thanksgiving will be 48 or something like that and there might be some flurries. The weather here is so nuts. It's like the saying - you know you live in Kentucky when you wear shorts and see snow all in the same week!
Okay, bedtime. :o)
