Today was my first "official" day as Assistant Manager. Kelly is gone and Sara was off, so it was just me ... and Dietra, Linda, and Sarah (a different one). Here is a list of things that I accomplished:
Made Cubans
Put Rotisserie Chickens in the oven
Flipped Salads
Filled up muffin case
Set up display table
Decorated cake for Martha's Birthday
Stocked the entire department
Made cheese trays
Helped serve lunch
Set up sandwich station
That's a lot of stuff. Yay me. On the way home I stopped at Office Depot to get a binder and some dividers to organize stuff for work. It was Kelly's "Bible" and I am turning it into my own. It's pink :o) and much more organized.
It's shaping up to be a pretty good week, though. I am working tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday, and then we're heading to Tennessee that night to pick up Seth and Jeanine from the airport. We'll get to spend some extra time with them - yay! But work will be busy because we are "resetting" the entire department this week ... whatever that means. We'll see how it goes. On the way to Tennessee, we are stopped by Greta's mom's house to visit the kittens that she recently discovered in the shed behind her house. We think that we are going to get one ... I really want a kitten, but I am going to be sure to give Mabel plenty of attention, too. She is wonderful and she comes first. If the kitten does not get along with Mabel, the kitten will have to leave. But we are going to give it a try. :o) We are in the process of coming up with names, even though we don't know if we are going to get a boy or a girl. For boys, though, I like the names Franklin, Dorian, and Milton (I think Milton and Mabel sounds hilarious together, hehe). All suggestions welcome!
Later we are meeting Lindsy at the new Pie Kitchen here in Fern Creek (the one that I was going to work at eventually) for some dessert. Yummy.
3 days until we go to Tennessee!!! :o)
Martha's Cake ... my basketweave needs some work. This is the first time I've done it in a very long time. The little ladybugs are red M&Ms.
And here is a (bad) picture of me and Kelly from a few days ago. Don't I look sexy? :o) I am really going to miss Kelly - she is so sweet.

1 Observations or Opinions:
I think M names are cute; I wanted to name Morgan "Maia" but it didn't happen.
Basketweave is difficult!
