I'm not as fired up today as I was my last post..Although today was an exceptionally frustrating day. As you may or may not know....starting first thing Saturday morning our internet went out. And our cable was all fuzzy. So today I left work at 2:00 to get home so the cable guy could work his stuff. I was also pretty unmotivated at work because of it, and didn't get as much done as I should have. I got home at 2:15 and noticed the TV was on. I may have left it on, but usually I'm the stickler in the house about turning it off, and it caught me offguard which usually means its out of place. So long story short, the cable worked perfectly and the internet was working...slowly but still working. So who knows what in the world happened, but the cable guy never showed up while I was here. I wasn't too worried since the stupid thing works now, but still. If the dude knew it was fixed before 2:30, normal human courtesy would have him calling me to let me know. I could have stayed at work and done more stuff.
But it also took all afternoon to get the wireless back up. I had to take baby steps. First getting the modem to feed directly to the laptop. That took the longest. Then I got the router working with a direct cable connection. Then I finally got the wireless working. I seriously hate computers! But as my wife puts it "Only when it doesn't work".
Also tonight I found out that Diana's cable was fuzzy, so they probably hit it somewhere close to us and enough people called that they fixed it. Diana's gazebo also blew over (as I thought it might). So some of the poles bent a bit, and I helped her straighten it out and stand it back up.
The wife just got home. She rocked at the register training tonight! I also have to throw mad props out to Zarek for helping out tonight. And to Mabel...for her constant supportive purring and sniffing.
