We went to the mall for awhile because I still have that gift card from my birthday, and I have a coupon that expires today. If I were still dressing up every day for work, there were lots of things I would have liked to buy, but wearing jeans and a polo to work does not require me to buy nice clothes. I already have plenty of them, anyway. I'm enjoying not having to decide what to wear each morning, though. I returned some camisoles I bought at JCPenney while Chrissy was here and I bought another cotton sweater. I bought one for my mom, too, because it was buy one, get a second for 88 cents; too good to pass up! From the mall, we went to World Market to look around, but didn't see anything fantastic. Went to Lowe's from there to look at mantels, but the one we went to didn't have any, so we stopped by McDonalds to get a drink on the way to the other Lowe's. We met my mom there and she looked around with us. We bought a 4.5 foot pre-lit Christmas tree because we don't have one of our own, and we also bought a mantel. Eric is working on it right now - it's going to look awesome! We have to paint it and rewire the switch for our fireplace, so it will take awhile, but it will be worth it. We are also letting the chili that wemade simmer a little bit. It smells really good! What a good night for chili!
I thought I'd post some pictures since I haven't in awhile ... they are from the past few months. Enjoy!
First are three pictures from our mini vacation: our cabin, our horseback ride, then our train ride. We had a lot of fun. :o)

Here is a picture of my very first icing rose that has ever looked good. I am very proud of it, as you can tell, because I took a picture of it! :o)
Here are our diplomas on the wall in the office. Don't they look nice? Mine is being put to such good use, haha.
And here is Eric just a little while ago reading the directions for our mantel:

It's almost chili time! Yay!
