It's such a nasty day! But I love it.
When I got to work my nose started bleeding. It would not stop and I was freaking out. I also had a nosebleed yesterday morning, so I was doubly freaked out. I know that it is just because the air is becoming more dry outside, but nosebleeds still scare me a lot. It finally stopped and I got back to work ... flipped the salads, made some Cuban sandwiches, cleaned out under the cake counter (it was nasty), then had some pasta in my car and deposited some checks at the bank. I like eating in my car, as weird as that sounds. After lunch I did some dishes, served some lunches, and kind of ran out of things to do towards the end of the day.
I headed to my eye appointment when work was over and met Eric there. I had the air puff thing, which I hate, then had my eye exam. Afterwards, one of the girls there helped me pick out my new frames and all that good stuff, and I'll have them early next week, hopefully. I'm going to take a break from the contacts for awhile because I don't take care of my eyes when I wear them. I'm pretty excited about the new frames; I feel like I look modern or something, haha. After that, we came home and watched some tv, heated up the chili, and had dinner. Eric left for his sister's house and I left for my mom's house. I got caught in traffic because of Cheney, and then I got mad at the drivers not being able to pick a lane. Grrr. At my mom's house, we just talked and watched some tv.
Now we're both back home and Eric just drilled a hole in the top of the mantel for the fireplace switch. It's really loud! He loves doing this kind of stuff, though. :o)
Tomorrow there are no cake orders and we made a bunch of sugar cookies shaped like pumpkins at the end of our shift today, so I'll be decorating those tomorrow and it will most likely take awhile ... but I'll probably do the salads first. I don't want to do the salad bar anymore - it takes way too long. Although it takes up time, so I guess I shouldn't complain. I want to learn how to cook all of the food, but I probably won't learn that for quite a while.
I can't believe tomorrow is October 17th!
