Still feeling it

I'm still feeling pregnant, which is so exciting! I am only able to be excited, though, when I don't feel like dry heaving.

So. This weekend. CAPPA Childbirth Educator and Labor Doula Training. Nashville. I feel much more prepared for the tasks ahead. I wouldn't say that I learned anything completely new, with the exception of some facts (did you know that external versions only have a 30% success rate of turning breech babies, while acupressure and/or chiropractic have a 75% success rate?!), but I learned new techniques and lots of great advice on teaching, and we even 'student taught' one afternoon. We heard lots of scenarios, talked about different birthing methods (Bradley, Lamaze, etc.), and had a lot of fun. There were eight of us and one trainer, so there was lots of time for questions and explanations.

I enjoyed being by myself, actually, even though I missed Eric and Duncan like crazy. I never had to pump (yay!), and Duncan asked to nurse the second he saw me. I have to admit I was relieved. I did not eat well while I was there, but there were limited options, and salads make me want to vomit. I still enjoyed every minute I was there, though, and I even saw "Eat Pray Love" by myself on Saturday night.

I enjoyed meeting everyone there, but especially enjoyed talking to one in particular - she has an 8 month old and she had her baby at THE FARM. I talked to her extensively about it. Le sigh.

So, for now, I have lots of reading to do, and I will be observing a childbirth ed class starting tomorrow (I think).

While I was gone, Duncan started saying "uh oh," and it's really adorable. He says it at the right times, too, which is even more adorable.

Time for some warm, homemade pumpkin bread.

I get an US tomorrow to make sure BBF is head down. I think he is, but butts feel sorta head-like. if he's not, I wanna learn more about external versions/acupressure/chiropratic.

Sounds like you had a great time! So jealous of the movie alone, what's that like?;o) Totally awesome you were able to talk to someone who gave birth on The Farm:o) Glad you are still feeling nauseous:o) I of course mean that in a good way!

And I know lots of women who have had success with chiropractic work for turning babies around:o)
