*I am sincerely upset about the passing of Scotty the elephant at the Louisville Zoo last night. Here is the story. Equally upsetting is the fact that all the stories say he "died." Incorrect. He was euthanized. I understand that he was in a lot of pain and that his condition was inoperable, but the whole thing still rubs me the wrong way. And did his condition have something to do with what the zoo fed him? I am conflicted.
*Lunch today with Eric at Shogun. Very excited! I hope Duncan enjoys it. :o)
*Praying hard that Liam is better this morning - they are supposed to leave tonight and be here in Louisville tomorrow morning. He had diarrhea yesterday, poor thing.
*Mother's Day was very nice. I had all of Eric's family over for a brunch (that's 17 people total including the babies) and I made a brunch strata and cinnamon rolls, as well as a fruit salad. It went pretty well, despite the fact that it was too cool to eat outside and we all had to hold our plates while we ate. For dinner, we met my mom and dad at THE Bashford Manor (yes, such a place exists - it's a Bed & Breakfast) and it was very nice. We didn't have a high chair, but Duncan did better than expected just sitting in a chair between us.
*Very excited about our booth at the Mama's Market this weekend in front of Mama's Hip. My friend Trisha and myself will be having a booth: Bake Sale for Breastfeeding. We're making cookies, and well have brochures and books, etc. It's from 10 to 2, so come check it out if you can. :o)
*I am finding it easier these days to simply let things run off my back. Things that would normally irritate me are no longer an issue, and life in general is more pleasant.
*I am currently reading "Eat Pray Love," and I laugh out loud many times each time I sit down to read. It is hilarious.
*I know I've said this before, but Duncan seems to have blossomed in the past week. He is walking half way across rooms (when he feels like it), and he is climbing on everything. I am constantly having to tell him to sit down - sometimes he listens to me. :o) He is using his signing more often, too, and we've recently figured out that his version of "please" comes from the fact that he thinks we are saying "cheese." Too funny. He signs all done, milk, thank you, please, more, and fan. He is also imitating us a lot more, especially when it comes to animals and noises.

1 Observations or Opinions:
I just finished Eat Pray Love and loved it! I really want to read her next book (Committed, I think.) and can't wait for the movie.
