I feel older.

Not just because I'm more than half way through my twenties - though that does play a part - and not because I have a family and a mortgage and responsibilities. No, I'm feeling older because I am sore. I have pain in my leg that could only be described as sciatic pain, and my back hurts almost constantly. Now, I don't want to blame all of this on Duncan because it really is not his fault, but it is. I am so thankful that he's learned to walk so I don't have to pick him up quite as much, but the bending over, picking him up, setting him down, putting him in his crib, etc. have all begun to weigh on me, and I am in pain. 28 pounds is a lot of weight ... compared to 10.

I keep telling myself to get a massage, but it's hard for me to justify spending that much money. I need to bite the bullet and do it - it will help, even if it's temporary.

I've been doing very well with eating this week! I am proud of myself. I made black bean soup in the crock pot yesterday and it was yummy! Love love love the crock pot.

Our garden is doing so well. We have yet to pick anything, but the zucchini and broccoli are really taking off! Will try to post pictures soon.

Not sure what I'm doing today, but I do not want to stay home because Duncan is a whiny mess with teething and such. I hope he takes a good morning nap.

Hooray for a 3-day weekend.

Is a chiropractor covered by your insurance? That might save you some money and give you longer relief.

I am not sure if it's covered, but I want to try this first. I am a bit of a chiropractor-phobe.
