We have a choir concert a week from Sunday, on March 7th, and we're singing with Ballard's concert choir and madrigals. I am the only member of Voces Novae that went to Ballard and sang in the choir and madrigals (which I find slightly odd, since I remember Mr. Weaver telling us in HS that if we're going to sing in a choir after college that we should sing with Frank Heller, so you'd think that with so many graduates of the choir program, that there would at least be more than one!), so I think that this concert may have slightly more meaning to me than to many of the other members. I have not been on the stage at Ballard since our last concert in May of 2002. Mr. Weaver is even directing all of us for one piece. I mean ... weird. It's been so long, and I feel so distanced. I suppose it should be that way; I am a completely different person than I was 8 years ago, although parts of me are the same - Eric was at that last concert my senior year. Lots of people in the choir with me then are still in my life now ... but several of us are married and have babies and/or careers.
I don't want to ramble here. I just wanted to mention that I am looking forward to this concert more than any of the VN concerts I have been a part of before, despite the fact that we're not ready yet ... but we have 6 more hours of rehearsal between now and then.

1 Observations or Opinions:
It's so ironic that we're going to be in town that weekend, but our flight leaves at 2:45 on the 7th. Wish we could come to the concert! Break a leg and say hi to Mr. Weaver for me!
