Productive

Our weekend was full of productivity! On Friday night we worked in the basement a little, and I worked out on the elliptical. I've got a streak going, and I'm back on track! I've been hovering in the mid-to-upper 150s since before Thanksgiving, and I'm determined to hit my goal weight before the end of the February. This morning I was 154. :o)

Saturday morning, Duncan woke up around 7:30 and we had Diana over for breakfast. We had scrambled eggs (courtesy of the CSA), hash browns, and strawberries. Duncan went down for his nap shortly after that, and Eric and I started working in our bedroom - I cleaned out under my bathroom sink, as well as emptied out my dresser. I had over 30 pairs of socks. How in the world I ended up with that many pairs of socks is beyond me, but now I have 6 tall pairs and 5 short pairs. That should be plenty, considering I do at least one load of laundry a day. We filled up a box for Goodwill, so that always makes me feel good. One box at a time ...

My parents joined us for dinner on Saturday night! They had yet to see our painting and redecorating, so they arrived around 4:00, and I worked on the homemade pizza for dinner. I have to admit that it was my best pizza to date. I enjoy cooking more and more each time I cook something new. After they left and Duncan went to bed, I worked out again, and we cleaned out a box full of sentimental stuff from college/right before we were married. The rest of the night I read blogs about homebirth and breastfeeding. Good times.

This morning Duncan woke up at 7:05 and we reluctantly got him out of bed, hoping that he would nap early so we could make it to church. To our surprise, he was only up about 20 minutes before he was acting tired, so we decided to see if he'd go back to sleep. Next thing we knew, we woke up and it was 9:20! It was such a nice present this morning. :o) We made it to church, and today was my first attempt at leaving Duncan in the nursery for a short time. I took him there during the lessons and picked him up after the sermon. He seemed to do just fine, but he was by far the youngest one there, and the older ones were pretty loud.

Back at home, we finished the leftover pizza for lunch, and Duncan went down for a nap at 1:20. He slept until 4:20!!!! Yes, that's three hours! During his nap, I worked out again. Wahoo! I started to work on dinner, too. We had chicken, roasted potato wedges (WW recipe), and sauteed vegetables. Pretty yummy, I thought!

Tonight we have to move our couch into the garage because our new one is being delivered tomorrow! So so so excited about it. Duncan just fell asleep (after talking/crying for almost an hour - Eric is so good at soothing him), so hopefully we can work on this soon. Other than that, no real plans for the evening. Just enjoying life. :o) Tomorrow, I am also getting my hair cut. Yes, I know you're saying, "AGAIN?!?!" I'm addicted to getting it shorter and shorter. I joked with Eric today about shaving it for St. Baldrick's Day. He said he would if I did. Ha.

Nothing else exciting this week except that my parents are leaving for Europe on Wednesday. I am so excited for them! I know they'll have an amazing time. Next weekend we're celebrating birthdays with the in-laws.

I always think of things to write about when I'm not near a computer, but I can never remember them later. Maybe I should keep a notebook close by me so I can write them down.

Please don't go bald! We already have one baldy and that's enough;o) I think bald is sexy, don't get me wrong, but please don't;o) Enjoyed the blog! Can't wait to see the new couch!

Haha, don't worry, I won't. It really was a joke, although I feel bad about joking about shaving my head for a charity that donates money to cancer research ...
