Picking up the slack

I know I've been slacking on the blogging-front. However, I've been picking up the slack in other areas of my life. I've caught the cleaning bug and it only took 25 years. Hehe. I am taking pride in our house and I want it to look nice all the time. I keep the laundry done, the dishwasher empty, I make dinner as often as I can, and I enjoy vacuuming and wiping off counters. Yes, it's true! So in between watching Duncan scoot around the floor chasing after my cell phone and the remote control (his 2 favorite toys, of course), I am busy around the house. I have also been doing more transcription work, which is always good!

These days our routine goes something like this:

7:30-8 - wakeup time, change, nurse
8-8:30 - Duncan crawls around and plays while I eat oatmeal
8:30-9:30 - walk around the neighborhood
9:30-10 change, nurse, down for a nap
10ish-12ish - nap
12ish - I go somewhere if I need to, visit mom, grocery, playgroup, etc.
2ish-3ish- home - change, nurse, nap
3ish-5ish - nap
6-6:30 - bath, bottle, bedtime

And those are on the good days. Most days it's 2 naps, but it really depends. Some days it's still 3. And the weekends are all messed up usually, but that's okay. :o)

Life is good, though. We have company this weekend! Chrissy, Jason, and Alexis should be here within the hour! We are going to the State Fair tomorrow, and the "girls" are going out tomorrow night. Marianne is also in town.

We were in Mississippi last weekend for Rob and Ashley's wedding. It was a long drive for such a short weekend, but my mom went with us, and we are SO thankful that she did. The weekend would have been VERY difficult without her there. The wedding was gorgeous - I loved all the decorations and colors. We had a fabulous time. :o)

Nothing exciting on the house-front. :o/ Just staying optimistic.

Weight Watchers is still going well. I've hit a plateau the past 2 weeks, but I just have to stay focused to get past it. I've lost 29.8 pounds so far, and plan on losing about 20 more.

Well, have to get things ready for dinner while Duncan is sleeping - we're grilling kabobs!
