Weekend

Duncan turned 12 weeks old on Friday. Wow. We have seen so many changes in Duncan in the past 4 weeks. When he is in a good mood, he is smiling so much. His smile is precious. :o) He has found his hands and likes to suck loudly on them. He is also so close to sleeping through the night (well, my definition of it - for me, it's not waking up at all, but I think the real definition of it is 5 hours of solid sleep)! Bedtime has become pretty nice ... usually between 8:30 and 9:30, so Eric and I have an hour or so to ourselves. It's great! Oh, and when I went in to pick up Duncan from the crib this morning, he was on his side. So we may be close to seeing him roll over.
Yesterday we went to a Derby party at a new friend's house. Her name is Angie and she's in the playgroup that I go to every week. There were 3 other moms there, too, with their babies. Fun was had by all, and I resisted the temptation to eat everything in sight. Haha. After the party, we went to my mom and dad's house and visited with Trent and Ron. More good times.
This morning, we went to church! Duncan behaved well. Then we at lunch at his parents' house and visited for a little while. We went to my mom's and Duncan took a nap, then we went to Costco with Diana. We joined - yay! We got some great deals! Afterward, we ate QDoba while we finished watching the golf tournament, then came home. Duncan is sleeping upstairs and I'm going to finish a few things ... write in his baby book, write some thank you notes. We are watching "The Reader" right now. Interesting so far - lots of Kate Winslet's boobs. Ha.
The week will pass quickly, as it always does. We are getting our storm door installed at some point. Yay! And next Saturday we are doing the Run/Walk "Throo the Zoo." Plus, my first Mother's Day as a mommy. :o)
