Going, going, going

We had a great Mother's Day weekend. On Saturday morning we walked in the "Throo the Zoo," and Duncan did very well. He started getting fussy by the end, but we made it! We had a late breakfast with mom at Calistoga, stopped by Mama's Hip, and then headed home. After a nap, we went to the grocery and made taco dip in 2 different containers. The first for the party we went to on Saturday night that a woman from playgroup hosted. There were lots of babies, mostly under 6 months of age. The taco dip was a hit! :o)

Sunday morning we were treated to a little extra sleeping time because Duncan didn't wake up until 8:40. We worked around the house until Elizabeth, Charlie, and Coralie arrived around 1:20 so we could put the collage in the frame for Carol. We met my mom and dad, Martha, and Ray at Claudia Sanders at 3:00. YUMMY food. Eric also gave me my Mother's Day present - a Wii and a Wii Fit!!! SO EXCITED!!! Headed to the in-law's house at 5:00 and had a good time there. Got Duncan to bed at 8:30 and set up the Wii and played the rest of the night.

Let's see. Monday ... playgroup. Tuesday, mall. Today, playgroup, dentist, and Weight Watchers. I was down another pound today, so I'm at 10.6 total. Yay! Right now we're watching "Yes Man" with Jim Carrey. Idol is on in a bit. Tomorrow night, Havana Rumba with some playgroup girls and their hubbies and babies. Should be a good rest of the week. :o)

OH, and in other good news, I am now officially finished using the shields. Everything is fine without them during the day, but Duncan screams when I try to nurse him at bedtime without them. Very strange, but I'll just keep at it. Hopefully that will stop. We've had to give him a bottle the past two nights. Oh well.

We had our storm door installed on Monday morning. It looks great and we're enjoying having the back door open to let in some sunshine. The cats enjoy it, too. We have several summer projects we'd like to do this summer - landscaping stuff, cleaning up the basement and installing some shelves, and in my wildest dreams, a new washing machine. Haha. But it should be an amazing summer filled with a smiling baby, sunshine, and shedding some pounds!
