Holidays

Christmas Day was really relaxing. We had breakfast at mom and dad's house and sat around watching tv until it was time to go to the Scalf's. We enjoyed a pretty calm lunch and then watched the kids open presents until 3:00. They left (their dad picked them up) and we finished opening presents. We got our stroller. :o) Back to mom and dad's for some Chinese buffet with Ron, and home pretty soon afterwards. We learned later that night that Rob and Ashley are engaged! YAY!!! :o) I can't wait until they get back from Georgia to hear all about it.

Friday morning was a bit frustrating ... I was at work from 10 until 2, but I'm glad that Eric was with me! I had planned on going to work, but my stay there was extended a good hour or two because someone else didn't do the work they said they were going to do. Oh well. Only three days left! From work, we made a quick stop at mom and dad's and then went to Target and Home Depot. When we got back home, Roy and Doris had arrived, so we talked and caught up until Trent and his family arrived. We ate dinner once Ron arrived, then just sat around and talked the rest of the night.

Saturday ... we met Mom, Pam, and Emma at Babies R Us for a little bit of shopping. We had a nice lunch at Whole Foods, and then Eric and I headed to mom and dad's to relax. We just sat around until it was time to go to Greta's for some dinner and good times. :o) We stayed until about 11:30, and amazingly I wasn't exhausted! But we had a really good time and loved talking with everyone. I love the holidays!

Today, we woke up with absolutely nothing on the agenda. However, by lunchtime we had done 3 loads of laundry, packed the box to send stuff back to MK, and cleaned up a little bit. We also worked on my hospital bag, although all it has in it right now is a pair of warm socks and the baby's coming home clothes. We did work on travel toiletries, though, so those are ready to go in there, too. A lot of the stuff I can't really pack until it's almost time to go to the hospital, so I guess I've got a little bit of time! Hopefully, anyway. We headed to Robley's to see/feed the kitties and then to Lowe's to buy a shelf. We ended up with two. Back at home we made dinner and watched "Notting Hill," then put up the shelves in the nursery. Everything is up on the walls except for the quilt that Elizabeth is making for us. Yay!

That's about it. Work tomorrow ... looking forward to Wednesday!
