Zoo

We had a great time at the zoo with Rob and Ashley. We participated in a scavenger hunt, although it was really just a wordsearch. We will hopefully win some prizes! Lunch was okay - nothing spectacular, but it was free, so that's always good. We turned in our puzzles at 2:00 and headed home. I took a rather long nap while Eric stained outside. Then we went to Lowe's, had dinner back at home, and Eric stained some more. We finished watching "Troy" (I liked it!) and headed to bed at 10:00. There are some pictures from the zoo on Facebook.
This morning I am going to renew my driver's license - the office opens at 8:30 and I am hoping that I can get in and out of there in enough time to be at my doctor's appointment at 9:00. If everything goes smoothly, that should be just fine. After my glucose test and appointment, I may stop and get breakfast somewhere ... I haven't eaten anything yet. I could eat some oatmeal, but even that has some sugar in it, so I don't want to eat it.
Choir tonight ... yay!

4 Observations or Opinions:
What is the deal with sugar and pregnancy? I heard someone at school talking about it today who is also pregnant (she is a surrogate). I guess I'm just not in the loop.
Did you pass the test?
Greta, women who are border-line gestational diabetes are instructed to limit their sugar intake. Evidently, in more recent years almost all pregnant women have been instructed to do so to avoid certain problems.
I won't find out for a few days, but basically no news is good news. I can call the lab for results in a week if I want to know exact numbers. If your body can't process the sugar that you eat, then neither can the baby ... which leads to a really big baby! Or so I've heard.
Thanks for the info. I'm not planning on getting pregnant anytime soon, maybe in the next few years though.
