I am in a great mood this morning. Life is so good right now.
Eric finished painting the nursery early Sunday night. It is pretty bright, but I love it. I am so excited to start decorating! We have so many ideas ... we just need to cut them down to a few. :o) We were on such a roll on Sunday that we decided to make cookies. We brought them to work yesterday and they went like wildfire. They were pretty yummy, if I do say so myself! After that, we were still on a roll, so we put the bed back in our bedroom so it's flat against the wall. We have a little bit more rearranging to do, but it will work how it is for now.
Yesterday I was searching on craigslist and found a brand new La-Z-Boy that a lady wanted to get rid of. She bought it for her baby, but then she had a miscarriage, so she just wanted to get rid of it. I couldn't go look at it because I had choir, but Eric went with my mom and they got it. Yay! It's blue and Eric said it's big and soft and comfy. Hehe. It won't go in the nursery - for now it will go in the office/guest room and then once we get rid of the piano downstairs, it will go down there. I don't think we're going to put a rocker or glider or anything in the actual nursery because the room is just too small. I think we'll just have the crib and a changing table/dresser. Possibly a little bookshelf or something. We'll just have to wait and see.
I left work at 4:30 yesterday because there wasn't any work left to do. We'll see how long I am here today. Poor Eric is swamped at work right now, with about 5 projects going on at once that all need to be worked on at the same time ... but I guess it makes the day go by quickly, right? Right. Tonight, mom is coming over with the chair (it's in her car) and we're going to dinner somewhere. Then we'll probably take the tape down from the nursery. The crib is being delivered tomorrow! :o) I'll have lots of pictures to put up later this week.
Another reason I'm in a good mood - I am wearing a dress, and that always makes me feel good. :o)
