Springtime

This really is one of my favorite times of year. I like all the seasons for their different qualities, but springtime just puts everyone in a good mood. Those days where there's not a cloud in the sky and it's about 70 degrees and everything is so green ... it's going to be like that today. :o)
The weekend started out pretty busy! On Friday, I left work at noon to go eat lunch with Marianne and Lindsy (and friend Nancy, who was very sweet!) at The Cafe. It was DELICIOUS. I had a salad with spinach, carrots, pecans, onions, apples, and grilled chicken. I got the light vinaigrette, which is probably not on the core plan, but I'm allowed small "processed" things every week. After lunch I headed home to help mom set up for our garage sale. After going to the bank, we were lazy for a while until we had dinner and went to the Bats game. Diana met us there, and Jason and Lauren, Rachel and Steve, and Josh were there as well. Yay for GE C&I season tickets. :o) Diana dropped me off at Janna's house after the 7th inning and I watched "P.S. I Love You" with Janna, Ashley, and two girls that I didn't know (Janna's friends). I LOVE this movie. It's not TOO sappy, but it's wonderful! And it's got Ireland in it, so you can't go wrong. :o) Ashley dropped me off at home around midnight, I think.
Saturday, I got up at 6:30, showered, and we were ready for the garage sale around 7:15 (although it didn't start until 8 - there are always people driving around early - it sort of irritates me). It was a little busy for a while, but it was never REALLY busy. We made about $30 each, but we've put all of the big stuff (futon, desk, fabric, red cabinet) on craigslist and we're selling a lot of it this week. So that's good. After the sale we had lunch at Moe's (GREAT naked chicken taco salad - I will be going back to get that again!) and then I slept from about 3 until 4:45 while Eric was very productive around the house. :o) We didn't do anything the rest of the night, really ... at least, I can't remember what we did. Haha!
Sunday, Mother's Day ... Eric did the slides at church, then we had lunch at his parent's house (yummy!), and then we had an early dinner at Claudia Sanders with my parents. It's $17.95, but we didn't eat nearly that much worth of food. I had a baked thigh and leg, some cottage cheese, and a few green beans. Then I treated myself with half a piece of apple pie. Eric split it with me.
This morning I weight 170.4, so I've lost 7.4 pounds in a little over 2 weeks. Yay! I can see a difference already in my clothes.
Work yesterday was fine ... last night I started transcribing my first job. I'm a lot slower than I thought I'd be. I got through 35 minutes of it in about 4 hours. Eh. I did 20 pages, so that's about 30 dollars, I think. Every little bit helps. :o) Oh yeah, and I skipped choir. Oops. I know I shouldn't have, but it was my first job and I was so excited and I wanted to get a good start on it.
Tonight at MK is MY moving up celebration for Red Jacket, which means that I get presents and hugs and encouragement from everything, which I need right now! I need to get serious again! I've been contacting people this week already ... it's all good. :o) I'm sad that I will be missing Idol tonight, though. I am going to vote for David Cook 1000 times tonight! Haha.
All right, time to work ... even though there is no work sitting over there. Hm.
