Oaks Day!

There are so many songs that remind me of certain times in my life ... that's one thing I love about music. For example, right now I am listening to Madonna's "Hung Up." This is the song that kept me going when I was working out every morning my last semester of college. I would get up at 6:45 and go workout at our new gym and watch 2 episodes of "Saved By The Bell." During the commercials I'd turn it to MTV and 4 times out of 5, this song would playing. We also played it at the wedding. I LOVE this song!! I love Madonna's music in general. :o)
172.2 this morning ... that's 5.8 freaking pounds in 6 days. Haha. Gotta love it. One of the best things I've heard about trying to eat well is to only shop around the perimeter of the grocery store - don't even go down the aisles. With the exception for one thing (my salmon and tuna cups), that's is how I've eaten this week. Last night we went to the grocery and bought applesauce (okay, that's not on the perimeter either), bananas, pineapple, mushrooms, cottage cheese, some fish, and eggs. Good stuff! :o)
We spent a few hours at Robley's last night with Kelly and we learned how to play Farkel - a very fun dice game! We also played Catchphrase, which is always good for some laughs. Hehe. I decorated my hat (it's bootyful) and then we went to the grocery and headed home.
Eric is off today ... just like the majority of the city. Hehe. Schools are out - it's pretty much a holiday. It's Oaks day!!! Tonight we are heading to the Chow Wagon (where I won't eat anything) and the B-52's and performing on the Waterfront. Love it. :o)
