Highlights!

Our week in Texas was great! We are sad to be home ... but here are some highlights from each day!
Saturday: Left at 4am and arrived at Seth and Jeanine's at 5pm Central time ... so it took exactly 14 hours. Breakfast at McDonalds, lunch at Wendys, then dinner with Seth and Jeanine at Pei Wei. Dessert at Wendys.
Sunday: Indiana Jones (yay!!!), then lunch and shopping at Southlake Towne Center. Got some Loft stuff. :o) Also went to the Container Store. Went swimming for a bit and then had a good dinner at home. Watched "National Treasure 2" (I think).
Monday: Waffles! Drove around. Cookout/birthday at Dean and Becky's house with cute baby and 4 other well behaved children. :o) I'm sure we watched another movie that night, but I can't remember.
Tuesday: Ventured out on our own! We went to the Botanical Gardens in Ft. Worth, met Seth at Blue Mesa for lunch, then walked around the Amon Carter Art Museum. Went to Grapevine Mills and bought some goodies ... some more Corelle and some flip flops. Wahoo! Dinner that night was Papa Murphy's.
Wednesday: On our own again - Ft. Worth Zoo and Kimbell Art Museum. Back home ... went to the pool and had dinner at Shady Oak BBQ and we watched the first 6 episodes of "Real World." It's the 20th season. Craziness.
Thursday: Breakfast at IHOP and then fun times at IKEA! We bought some shelves and picture frames. :o) Dinner at home - pizza, of course, hehe, and we watched "Napoleon Dynamite." Went to bed fairly early.
Yesterday we left at 5am and arrived home at 8:30pm eastern time - 14 and a half hours this time. We got an average of 34 miles per gallon the whole trip and only had to fill up 4 times (but made it home filling up only 3 times - we filled up this morning in Louisville)! We drove 1919 miles. It was worth it. I love road trips, especially with my favorite person! We didn't shower before we left yesterday, though, so we were pretty grimey by the time we got home. Hehe. It was GEE-ROSS.
It was so nice to be with Seth and Jeanine ... it stinks that we live so far apart. I can't wait to meet the baby - I've never been an aunt before, hehe.
Last night we started laundry and cleaned up a bit, played with the kitties and went to bed pretty early. This morning we were lazy and we did more laundry and cleaning, and I went to rehearsal. I got home from there at 4:40 and we went to Walgreens to pick up pictures, Lowe's for some screws for our shelves, dinner at Moe's, and finally to Kroger to stock up on groceries. Since then we've put up the shelves (I'll put up pics soon) and rearranged the pictures that are hanging up down here. Now it's bedtime!
Last concert of the year tomorrow. Is it really June 1st? Craziness. It seems like Christmas was yesterday.
