The past two days have been really really great. Eric and I made our mashed potatoes on Thanksgiving morning and headed over to the house around noon. There were about 25 of us there ... it was so nice! The food was especially good, but I didn't eat too much at all. I had one of everything, I believe. No extras. :o) We were over there talking and laughing and eating with everyone until 5, I think. Then we went to my mom and dad's house to "relax" and we laid down in the family room in front of the fire - extremely relaxing and enjoyable. We stayed there until 8:30 or so when we went over to Molly and Maurine's house for the annual Pie-fest. They get pretty much one of every pie from the Pie Kitchen and we all go over there and dig in. Plus, we get to see people we haven't seen all year - Molly and Maurine of couse, Blake, Marianne, Greta and Brian, 3 out of the 4 Monsma brothers, and Lindsy. We stayed there talking and laughing and reminscing about high school until after 1am. It was great. :o)

On Friday, Eric and I stayed in bed until 10, showered, and met his immediate family at the Olive Garden to celebrate Carol's birthday. I love that place. I got eggplant parmesan, which is something I've never had there before! It was tasty. Eric and I walked around the Summit afterwards, which was not crazy busy, and we bought him a sweater from Old Navy (really, it was a gift card - thanks Mom), and finally a nice pair of khaki pants. Those were from Banana Republic, but even after the beeper at the door went off and they took the bag back to the counter, when we got home the sensor was still on them! Oh well. Then I got a very cute dress from American Eagle - I haven't bought anything from there in years, but I love it and I'll be wearing it to the Christmas party! We headed over to Bill and Carol's from there and we had a piece of pumpkin pie and sat and talked for about an hour, I think. Good times, of course. :o) Then we drove to Schlotzsky's to get dinner for mom and dad and Leo (or is it Liu?) and ourselves, too ... tonight my dad had a "practice recital" for Leo and himself - he goes to Campbellsville University and has his Master's recital on Tuesday. There were several other people there to listen, as well, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Although, I'm not sure that the accompanist is supposed to outshine the performer ... my dad rocked. :o) Eric and I headed home after that to wait for people to come over - our house was supposed to be a "meeting point" before heading down to Bardstown Road, but everyone just decided to meet down there (after I'd cleaned up the house, of course - oh well). We picked up Greta on the way down Bardstown and met everyone at O'Sheas. I had my usual two Long Island Iced Teas and felt pretty good by the time we left a little after 1:30. It was fun. :o)

So I'm up this morning and Eric is still in bed. We have absolutely no plans for the day, but I'm hoping that we decorate the house and put up the tree. That would be lovely. :o)

I really hope I get this job. It would be ausgezeichnet.
