Sustainable Mommy

I know I should feel patriotic and remember those who died ... but this day gives me the heebie jeebies and I will be glad when it is over. That's not to say that I'm not patriotic and I haven't thought of those who died, though.

Work today was pretty good. I got lots of things done and we had enough people for once! It's a giant help now that Jesica is there all day long.

I left on time for once in a long time, and headed down Shelbyville Road to Cherokee Park. I stopped at Ken Combs Running Store to get one of those dorky things for my glasses to keep them from sliding while I run, and I decided get some shoes while I was there. I got 10% off for becoming a preferred customer. Hehe. I also talked to the guy about running in the cold weather and he was very helpful. So I went running after having some trouble finding the scenic loop, and went 2.4 miles. Not very far, but if I had run any longer I would have had to fight rush hour on Bardstown Road. I'll go farther tomorrow! I got such a rush from running today - it was great!

Once home, I showered, had a quick dinner with Eric, and went to the first Bible Study at Southeast. We didn't do much tonight except introduce ourselves and talk about times in our lives when we've experienced tragedy but felt an inner joy and peace because of God. It was nic.e :o) I've never really thought about the difference between joy and happiness, but there is a big difference!

Eric and I went to the grocery once I got home at 8:30, and now we're sitting on the couch. It's almost bedtime. One of my favorite parts of the day! :o)
