Very busy few weeks coming up. I guess I like it ...
I have two weeks of Jury Duty that started today. Each night at 6pm I have to call the Hall of Justice to find out whether I'm needed for the next day or not. That means that I have to call Sara and let her know whether I can come in the morning and make breakfast and what not. I feel badly about it, but the government wins over everything else. Sorry!
Voces Novae was wonderful yesterday. I LOVE singing with them. I am very excited for rehearsal tonight. :o)
Chrissy's visit was short and nice. We had a good time - didn't do much, but got to see Lindsy and eat some good food.
Yesterday morning, Eric and I got up early to take Chrissy to the airport, and when we got home we went for a run together. It was nice, although my run is only a walk for him. Hehe. Still, it was nice to do that together. I hope we can exercise more together in the future! After that, we didn't do much, but on my way to Voces Novae, I stopped at work to get a cake for Elizabeth. After our rehearsal/welcome back bash, I went to the in-laws' for a nice taco dinner and had a piece of that amazing cake. Hehe. Came home, went to bed really early.
I slept until 7:30 this morning. I was going to go running, but I started looking at jobs online (mostly just for fun, unless something really pops out at me) and found one that really popped out at me. Haha. It's for an admin assistant at GE. Wouldn't that rock? The answer is yes! So then I got ready to head downtown and ... headed downtown. I was there for an hour and a half or so, just sitting and listening pretty much. There were no trials today because of Judge McNulty's funeral. So ... I have to call, like I already said.
I had lunch at Famous Dave's with Eric and Kyle, then stopped by work to talk to Derrick and Sara about my jury duty stuff. David was working and when I asked why, Dietra informed me that Clark didn't show up last night and didn't call, so Sara had to close by herself. As a result of Clark no longer being with us, David had to work during the day and Linda is closing tonight. BUT, the good news is that Derrick hired someone today, too. Another guy named David, but he is Indian. Hehe, should be cool. :o) From work, I went to the mall to see the new Victoria's Secret. It's amazing! I bought a bra because I desperately needed a new one, and I also bought one pair of underwear. I headed to grandma's to be with dad while he talked to the nurse at the Forum about grandma getting some assistance. She really just needs someone with her all the time. I'm very sad about it. :o( So I'm not going to write about it right now.
What else ... Jack is annoying, but terribly cute.
Voces Novae still needs some guys, so if anyone knows anyone, he's doing auditions for them until September 8th!
Eric should be home soon, and then we'll have dinner. I'll update in a little bit on whether I have to go "serve" tomorrow.
