And so begins the busy month ...

Happy July! It's going to be a busy month ... next weekend we have a wedding to attend, like millions of other people in this country. The following weekend is the family reunion in Tennessee, which I am thoroughly looking forward to, and then the last weekend is Chrissy and Jason's wedding. That will be like a reunion in itself, but a high school one. It's going to be so great!

This past week was interesting. I tried really hard to learn new things and be more involved in certain processes, although it's hard because Sara is so set in her ways that she likes to do everything herself. It's going to take some convincing to have her let me do things that she has always done. I worked at Loft on Monday night from 5:30 to close, and on Tuesday night from 6 to close. Tuesday at ValuMarket was great, though, because neither Dietra nor Sara were there, so Kelly and I got to cook lunch. It was so much fun! I loved it. :o)

Wednesday was wonderful, as well, because Eric took a half day ... and I lost 1.4 pounds at Weight Watchers. I'm up to 20.8 pounds altogether. I am not doing the program correctly right now, but ... I will again soon. I go in cycles.

Thursday and Friday were both busy days at work, and I worked Friday night at Loft. Thursday night it was rainy and we didn't go to the Music on the Terrace at the Summit, so I invited my mom over to have dinner with us. I made meatloaf, boiled some mushrooms and brussel sprouts (mom likes them, so I thought I'd try them), and some cornbread. It was a lot of fun! :o) Saturday I was only at work for 4 hours because there was going to be plenty of help and I had all my cakes finished. So I was home at 10 and Eric and I were pretty lazy all day long.
Last night, we went to Kyle's "Housewarming Party," and as usual, Rachel, Lauren, and myself were the only girls (until Sarah showed up). We had a lot of time to talk, and it was a lot of fun! We went to another party for awhile - a bunch of Rachel's high school friends - and on the way home, stopped for Blizzards. Once back, we were surrounded by drunk men playing Wii, and I had some alcohol myself so I wouldn't feel so irritated by the guys. Haha. Things calmed down after a while, and we were home around 2:00am.

We have been going to Feeder's Supply every so often to look at cats. They have had one there for the past two weeks named Sallie Mae (doesn't that sound so great with Mabel?) and she only has one eye. She was hit by a car and we talked to the lady about her - she is very laid back and just wants a safe and cozy home for the rest of her life. Now Eric and I were thinking about getting her for Mabel, but as it turns out, cats are perfectly fine being by themselves all of the time ... but after pondering about it for a while, now we kind of want to get her just to make sure that she has that safe and cozy home for the rest of her life. I don't know. Maybe we will go look at her again today sometime (the adoption fees are waived this weekend - it would only cost $30 to get her ... not that that's the only reason to get her, though).

Today, we are heading down to Lebanon Junction for a party at Dietra's. We made pasta salad. :o) I'm looking forward to it! This week at work should go really fast because I have Wednesday off, as well as next Saturday - it will be very nice. So I don't have to work on a Saturday for the next three weeks! How great is that?

I am really looking forward to everything that is going to go on this month - I'll get to see lots of people that I don't see very often, do things I don't do very often, and have a bunch of days off, which also doesn't happen very often. It's going to be wonderful and I can't wait. :o)
