After leaving work on Friday, it took me a few hours to realize that I never have to go back. By dinnertime, though, I was feeling pretty damn good. We all had dinner at QDoba and waited for the rain to calm down before we went back to mom and dad's house. We watched "Innerspace" with mom and came home.

On Saturday, we were going to stay home and rent movies or something, but with the offer for dinner at Martha's on the table, we decided to do that instead. We haven't been to Lexington in awhile, and it was something different to do. We headed out around 11:30 and I kept my camera out in case we passed the Queen. Hehe. No luck, but we did see about a dozen limos heading toward Louisville. First, we ate lunch at Johnny Carino's - fabulous, as always. Lexington has two of them and we don't even have one! After lunch we walked around Joseph Beth, but didn't stay there too long. We sat at the UK Arboretum until it started raining, then went to Starbucks. Finally, we walked around the mall and we found some good pictures at Kirklands for our bathrooms. The price was right, too. We headed to Martha's around 5 and had a great time. We talked with everyone and watched the Derby and had some food. We came home at 8:30 or so and about ten minutes after we got home, Lauren and Rachel and some other knocked on our door and invited us over to their house. So we headed down there for an hour and a half or so and had some more fun. I ate some cookies. Oops. We went to bed at midnight.

Yesterday was another wonderful day. We got up around 9, I think, and didn't do much until we figured out what we wanted to do. We decided that we would work in the yard! Yay! So we headed to Lowe's and bought two tiny boxwoods, some Phlox, a hanging plant that is absolutely beautiful but I don't know what it's called, and some mulch and top soil. Diana also gave us a Rhododendron that she's not using. We planted that between the garage and the front door in that little space. Here are some pictures of what we did:

We also put new mulch down in all the beds and put up the hanging basket.

Here is our view a year ago from the front porch:

And here is our view now:Crazy, huh?

So after we finished working in the yard, we showered and took a nap, then had some chicken stir fry and applesauce for dinner. After looking at the paper and seeing some good stuff at Kohl's, we headed there and found some good stuff! I also got some cute shoes. :o) We stopped at McDonald's on the way home for some ice cream, and worked on the living room for a little bit. We hung up some stuff and got some more ideas from Diana. I picked a picture from every country that I have visited (minus Spain and England, although I think I can get those) and Eric is going to make them all nice at work. I'm going to look for a cool frame today at Bed Bath and Beyond. Maybe something like this but maybe bigger. Not sure yet. It will look cool, though. :o)

Alright, gym time.

Looks great!

You know what is weird...our grass is greener than yours since we've gotten so much rain! Its been great. Of course, I've fertilized twice in the past month so I'm sure that has something to do with it.
