Much Better

I haven't been as stressed as I was this past week since ... September. Yeah, remember when I cried on the way to work every day? That was September. I am happy to report, though, that I am much much much better. Last Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, it was my responsibility, along with my counterpart Clarissa, to make EVERYTHING for the new store. So I worked two ten hour days in a row, which wasn't too bad, but we didn't know where anything was and we didn't have everything we needed ... and I was tired, and it was just a bad combination.

Going in to work at 4am hasn't been bad at all. I kind of like it, really, because I'm done so early in the morning usually that I still have the whole day to do whatever. Although ... Eric left on Sunday and I've been pretty lonely while I'm at home. Thank goodness for my mom, though, because we could do the same thing every day for years and never get bored. :o)

Sunday was a very emotional day for me, and it was because of a combination of things ... Eric left, I was still stressed at work, and Aunt Flo will be visiting me soon. Clarissa and I did leave at 8:30, though, and we had a nice breakfast at Bob Evans. I cried when I got to mom's house. We met dad at church, J-town Presbyterian (he has played there 9 years - the anniversary was this past Sunday), where everyone had a little celebration in honor of him. It was so nice. I almost cried several times there, too. Then we picked up grandma and went to Cave Hill to visit granddad - almost cried again (although I laughed a lot, too, because grandma was having issues and we had to stop three times so she could go to the bathroom). Dropped grandma off and went home where we took a long nap, and then I came home. I cried the whole way home for no real reason at all. I went down to Diana's and I stayed there until 9:30. We went for a nice walk and it got my mind off of things. We are going on a date tomorrow night. :o)

Yesterday I stayed in bed pretty late just because I could ... then mom and I went to Schlotzsky's. We visited Kohl's and then drove downtown on River Road to buy tickets for Thunder at the baseball stadium. We got four tickets and I think the seats are pretty good. I'm really excited about it! There's a baseball game at 2:15, music after the game, the airshow, and then the fireworks. YAY! After walking around the stadium a little bit, we toured the models of the condos that they are building on River Road at the end of Frankford Avenue. They are GORGEOUS and I don't think they are overly expensive. The one that mom and I both liked was about 300,000 ... for brand new river front property, that's not too bad! We headed to the Summit and walked around a little bit, then had an early dinner at QDoba. I came home and went to bed at 8:00.

It was kind of eerie being at work so early by myself today, but I actually liked working by myself. I was done at 9:45 and headed to mom's to take a nap and a shower. We had lunch at QDoba (haha!) and then went to Kohl's again. I bought some new tennis shoes and then came home. I have been pretty lazy all day long. I watched a lot of "That 70's Show" and looked at stupid stuff online, and I've missed Eric ... that's about it. We had a pretty bad storm earlier, but I think Fern Creek was spared a little bit. I didn't like being by myself! Boo.

American Idol, then sleep, then work, and then another day off. Yay!

I love our Mabel. She is so sweet.
