I arrived at the J-Town Pie Kitchen this morning at 7am and the door was propped open for me. Job was there to greet me (like Job in the Bible) and for the next six hours I watched him make pies, meringues, one cake order, some cupcakes, and a few other things. My back started to hurt because I was just standing there watching and I kept wanting to help because it looked like fun, but I felt like I'd mess it all up. I can't wait until I know how to do it all! I am SO EXCITED. :o) So so so so excited. I can't wait to have my own rhythm and know how to do it all. It's going to be great! There wasn't much to do today, so we worked pretty slowly and talked and just did what he needed to do. I had a wonderful time, though, and I don't get to go back until next Monday! Boo on having to work at ValuMarket this week.
I did find out a few not so happy things today, but they aren't detrimental. I get 3.33 hours of paid vacation per MONTH and that is only after my 90 day "Introductory Period." So that kind of stinks. Also, there is no direct deposit, but that's not too big of a deal. I like the fact that we get paid every other Tuesday! Yeah, Tuesday - isn't that weird? I like it, though.
When I left work at 1:00 I met mom at QDoba for a wonderful lunch that was only 6 points. Then I stopped at home to pick up some coupons and headed to the grocery store. I got some really good snacks and I am well stocked for quite a while. :o) I also saved $8.40, so go me. Once I got back home, I sat for awhile and didn't do anything, until I convinced myself that I needed to be productive. I vacuumed the whole house and swept the kitchen and hallway, and I also cleaned out the litter box.
It is just too beautiful outside to stay inside ... but I don't have anything to do! So I've just opened all the blinds and all the sunlight is coming in. That is just one thing I love about this house - there are so many windows and it is so bright in here with all the sun. It's very refreshing.
Alright, so I'm in a good mood, but I'll be in a better mood when Eric gets home and we can eat! Hehe.
