Sweet. My dad just called and he is coming over tomorrow to help with the install. This will be a good father son man thingymabob. Tonight I plan to move the toilet into the shower to stow it away and I guess that's it. Oh yeah, pull the tape off the walls. So I know I have to cut a corner out of a tile...so I guess I need to rent a tile saw. I was hoping to get away with a nipper and a straight scorer. We'll see...I still may try to fake it since all the rough cuts will be covered with edge tiles. Thanks to everyone's comments...and Seth...you can't blame Drew! It's not his fault....I'll save some home improvement for your next time you are up here and we'll get some quality brother in law bonding time.

I took Mabel to the vet today. Dr. Hickey is always so nice AND talkative. So Mabel is all healthy but she did have Round and Hookworms. So she got some antibiotic/medicine thingy and he said that will take care of the rest of worms that the baby worming medicine missed. Now all that is left is to register her in the county and get her tags back. It only costs $7.50 a year to register her. So cheap.

So I was a little ticked at work today. So I'm in this new position and my boss is pretty cool. But there are 3 other guys on a 2007 program which is almost over and they will all likely work on the 2009 program when it starts. We had a big meeting today about it and we laid out the schedule (we are already WAY behind) and later in the day the program manager of the 2007 program asked if I was gonna go with them on Tuesday to GA. I said I would probably go, but I had to check with Joe (who runs the school program I'm in...so its pretty damn important). And then later I said "I can go now" and the new program manager says "I need to give you the excuses speech". So then he proceeded to talk to me about how his mantra is "No excuses, lets lay out the options so we can move forward." And I just thought it was a bit pitiful because he's not my boss, and I know he meant well, but the tone he delivered it with was one of "Well, you better change this." He doesn't know a thing about me, my work ethic or anything. I told him one time "I'll have to check with my teacher" one time, since my primary job at GE is the Edison program, and the fact that he took it upon himself to talk to my about excuses....is somewhat demeaning. In fact its quite insulting. I know he thought he was doing me a favor...and I know his intentions were in the right place, but it just didn't seem like the right time. Yes...I want to keep a positive light on it because I think I will enjoy working for the team, even if they all end up on it as well. And I know my job is to serve GE, and sometimes travel comes into that, but he pointed at one point to my pic of Katherine and said "I know you'll hear stuff from your girlfriend, fiance, or wife about it" and at that point I just kept nodding and then walked away when he was done. We'll see how that turns out. It just rubbed me the wrong way. But they are all really smart well programed guys so I have lots to learn from them. I just hope that they'll start treating me as an equal team member. I'll keep you updated.

Well that is it for now. Mabel is sleeping next to me on the couch and this is an old CSI that I've seen before so I think I will go upstairs and start moving the toilet. Wish me luck.
