One of our favorite pastimes is going to Lowe's and just looking around. That's what we did last night. We always go with the intention of looking around, but then we get excited when we see something and our brains start going crazy with ideas. So last night we bought two oval mirrors for our bathroom, and we looked at possible sconces to go on either side of them. Today when I got home, Diana helped take the mirror down, so we're pretty excited about getting started on our new project. We already have the paint, too - it's RED. :o)
Work today was pretty good, actually. I stocked stuff for about three hours and then did cakes for about three hours. Eric surprised me with a visit and we had lunch at Fazoli's. Once I got back I did the bills and also did some potato skins. Good times. :o) Derrick was helping me with the bills and when we were finished, I said, "Now all I have to do is learn how to order stuff, and I'll be good to go!" Then he asked me if I had any desire to be a manager because they might have an opening within the next year or so (which made me think - is Sara going to leave? NOOOO!!!) , and he kind of answered for me when he said he thought I'd just like to continue with cakes. I nodded in agreement, although I added that if I had adequate training, I might like to do it. Once I have children, though, I'll be going to part time (after a while, at least), so if I did want to do it, it wouldn't be in the near future. We'll see.
I did some very cool cakes today, but I didn't take any pictures - sorry! I did a Harley Davidson kit, a Jurassic Park Jr. kit (baby dinosaurs), and a Four Princesses kit (Disney princesses). There were a few regular birthday kits in there, too.
There is an Amber Alert right now for four kids and a mother who they think were abducted by the father of the children. They announcement said that the guy is thought to have shot one person just because the abduction. Wow. How scary. I really like the Amber Alert system; it is such a good idea.
SNOW TOMORROW!!! And no work. :o)
