So, first things first ... just got back from the dentist. I'm glad that I went. Good news: No cavities. Bad news: I'm having my wisdom teeth out next Thursday - all 4 of them. So I'll be missing three days of work altogether - not too bad. I hope I'll be able to go out to our anniversary dinner on the 23rd.
Last weekend was really good. On Saturday after work Eric and I took a nap and then got ready to go to Terena's Christmas party. We had a good time after we met some people. I met a girl who graduated from Ballard just a year before me (I knew her name) and also a teacher from Ballard who was only there for 2 years. I saw one of Seth's old roommates from Centre, John Davisson. He's engaged to the teacher. So it was just another reason to love Louisville - no matter where you go, even if you think you won't know anyone, you always find a connection. It's great.
After the party we went to O'Shea's and met Diana, Kathi, Kyla, and a few other people there. The music was good and the Long Island Iced Teas were good, too, We stayed until midnight, I guess, and then slept in on Sunday very very late.
The beginning of the week was very productive at work. I am not a procrastinator and I find myself keeping very ahead of schedule with my cakes. It makes things more enjoyable all around. :o)
On Monday night we went to Target to do some Christmas shopping. We bought presents for the kids (Christopher, Zachary, and Emily) and also bought Christmas cards, wrapping paper and ribbon. So we had a really wonderful night on Monday - I enjoyed it so much and I know that Eric did, too.
Last night we went to Eric's work party and we had a lot of fun there. I was very disappointed with the open bar because the drinks were way too strong and absolutely disgusting to me. So I just had some Coke with dinner - which, honestly, was probably better in the long run. We sat with two other couples (Eric works with the guys) and then the two co-ops. We are going out with the two other couples this weekend to dinner and maybe to a bar. It should be fun.
But now, I'm off to Terena's and I'll most likely be there for a long time because this project is taking FOREVER.
