Sustainable Mommy

I am loving my job so far. I get up at six, I'm at work by seven, I put out the donuts and make the coffee, then start on whatever needs to get done - cakes, etc. Yesterday I worked with Kelly to do three cake orders, then we helped serve lunch (which they call busy, but it's really not) and we worked on smore cakes and message cookie cakes the rest of the day. Today, Kelly was off, so I made 240 Halloween cupcakes, helped with lunch, then made some pumpkin sugar cookies and dipped them in chocolate and put sprinkles on them. It was good times. I really am liking it, besides that fact that the whole area is kind of messy (although the food that everyone makes smells SO YUMMY - it's like Thanksgiving dinner every day), and that my feet hurt like crazy. But I am really liking the people I work with, and the time flies by so fast. I am home by 3:20 every day! Today I took a nap and started dinner and Eric will be home any minute. I have tomorrow off, as well as Sunday, so I am going to work with Terena for a few hours, then I have a doctor appointment at 3:30. Should be a good day.

I made jumbalaya ... the house always smells for at least a day afterwards, even with the windows open! But it is worth it; we love it.

Happy Belated Birthday, Eric! (even though I told him several times yesterday) He's 25 now, ane more handsome than ever. I am so lucky. :o)
