This has been an extremely difficult week for me. I have never been more anxious about anything, I don't think, and I dreaded getting up each day for work. But, after forcing myself to do what I didn't want to do, I really think that I'll be fine at my new job; I just have to get used to the time and not getting home until 6:30 every day. But I do get to sleep until 7:30, so that's good, I guess. Anyway, work will be fine ... each day will get easier, just like it has this week.
Last night when I got home, we ate quickly, and left for the American Idol concert. We sat in traffic for over and hour and missed the first half hour of the concert. We didn't even get into the fair - we parked in a hotel parking lot and ran to Freedom Hall. The concert was great; I don't care how much anyone hates American Idol or thinks it's stupid - seeing people in person that you've only ever seen on TV is still pretty damn cool. I particularly enjoyed seeing Chris and Katharine. Katharine sang that Cherry Tree song, and "Somehwere Over the Rainbow." It was beautiful. It was also kind of sad that Chris got MUCH LOUDER cheers than Taylor. I guess that means that more people voted for Taylor because the older people could stay up later. Haha. That's mean, but it's TRUE! :o)
After the concert we went to Steak n Shake for milkshakes, and we fell asleep pretty soon after getting home. Woke up this morning around 9 and got some McDonalds for breakfast. Good times.
We painted the guest bedroom on Wednesday (I think) and it's beautiful. It's a purple plum mauve color. I'll take pictures. We've also half way painted the guest bathroom and it's a grass color. I love it. We'll finish that this weekend. We've bought the paint for our bedroom and will probably start on that today. First, though, I'm going to shower and go to the Remodelers Tour with my mom. Good times. :o)
