What a weekend! Friday was really good at work, even though it was raining all day long. We had a competition, like I said before, and I got ELEVEN things. So yay for things paying off. On Friday night, Eric and I did absolutely nothing and went to bed around 11.
Saturday was GREAT. We got up and got all the stuff together. Went to mom's house to get a cover and the boombox, then went to the post office in J-town to send my poster and to ask why the package Eric sent a few weeks ago hasn't gotten there yet. They basically said sorry, we can't do anything for you. From there, we went to get Jason, Lauren, and Josh, then went to Kroger for some snacks and to Subway to get lunch. We parked at Campbell and Main and only had to walk about 15 minutes. We looked for a good spot for little while, and finally settled on a place close to where Eric proposed. There was a tent in front of us but that was fine. So then began the waiting for about 8 hours. We talked, played Catchphrase, laughed at people that got kicked out of Thunder for being stupid, and ate some funnel cake. The actual fireworks were the best that I can remember. It may sound silly, but I almost cried at one point because it felt so powerful. It's hard to explain, but I love Louisville and Thunder just makes living here that much better. It's great. :o) We sat in traffic for only about half an hour and were at B-dubs by 11:00. I didn't eat wings, but I had an LIT (sorry Jason, I mean a Long Island Iced Tea) and some potato wedges, and talked about the day. The first thing we all did, however, was go to the bathroom because we all held it all day long, except for Josh because he had 12 beers over the course of the afternoon. We were going to stay at Jason and Lauren's, but we were so tired that I just thought it would be better and more comfortable if we slept in our own bed. So we were home at 1:00 and fell asleep right away.
We got up at 10:00 and took all the laundry over to my mom's house. I called her on the way to tell her we were coming over, and asked if Eddie was outside. She told me that Eddie was gone. :o( I didn't cry, though. She told us once she got home that she gave him to a foundation called the Woodstock Foundation. They were at PetSmart yesterday and she talked to them about Eddie. They said that they foster home all of their dogs, and even took mom's number so they could call her when Eddie gets placed. So she was sad all day long and cried, just like Eric and I did the day we had to get rid of him, but we know how she feels. And though it never seems like it at the time, it really does get a lot better. So we did laundry and I took a short nap, then we went to see the house. There was no one there, and it is a beautiful day, so we took lots of pictures ... first, standing in the garage looking at the kitchen and out the back door.
Here, looking at our powder room.
The steps.
Eric and our house number brick :o)

And above, looking through the door in the garage to the living room. The fireplace is on the right. Below, the back and our beautiful bricks.
The kitchen and the living room again.
And here I am standing there our front walkway will be.
Yay pictures. That's enough for now. I am going to post this before I accidentally delete it. Haha.
