37 weeks on Monday. Very hard to believe ... yet at the same time, I feel like I've been pregnant a long time. I'm still feeling good. I'm swollen some days, but not all, and I'm peeing a crazy amount (I lost track last night how many times I had to get up to go). Other than that, things are good. I'm feeling very 'open,' which has probably been helped along with prenatal yoga. Class this morning felt so good!
Congratulations to Greta and Brian on baby Miles on the 14th! And another congratulations to my friends Jessica and Luke on baby Adrian this past Tuesday ... I was very lucky to be able to witness Adrian's birth, and it was an amazing birth - slow for most of the day, then sped up toward the end and a very short pushing stage! She did so well! :o) And with the exception of the nurse telling her to 'try not to push' (which is the most absurd thing you can tell a woman who feels the urge to push - it's like telling someone mid-poop to stop pooping!), the hospital, doctor, and staff were great, from my perspective.
I am trying so hard to enjoy these last days with Duncan because it's never going to be just 'me and him' again. It's hard to enjoy the tantrums and the head-butting sometimes, but the spurts don't last long. He is a joy most of the time ... diaper changes are a nightmare, though. He knows that I am moving slower right now, and he takes advantage of it. He runs away from me, turns around and looks to see if I'm coming, laughs, and then runs faster. Cute, but not funny when we are outside.
Diana and Eric are currently loading Diana's U-Haul down at her house ... being extra hormonal these days, I am trying not to think about how much I will miss having her 4 doors down, and how much I'll miss having someone on my side when I ask Eric if we can get ice cream. :o) I am so excited for her, though!
We blew up the birth pool earlier just to make sure our compressor thing works, and it will only take about 10 minutes to set it all up, so that's good. Duncan enjoyed being it in without the water. I have pictures and will post them soon. I think we have almost everything we need for the birth - I want to go through the box and organize it a little bit more, but I don't think we're missing anything except for labor snacks for myself and my team.
So, here's to a hopefully uneventful 3-ish weeks. I have 2 more appointments scheduled, and other than regular morning activities, I'm hoping Eric will let me indulge myself a little bit with a pedicure, massage, and who knows what else. :o)

Thanks for mentioning us in your blog! You need to pamper yourself before giving birth, and tell Eric I said so!
