For some reason, it never occurred to me that the reason I was having trouble pumping was because I only have a manual pump. DUH. So, thanks to Jeanine, I now have an electric pump, and it's working wonders. I already have enough milk for tonight and tomorrow night. I've gotten 5oz. each time the past 2 times. YAY! I'm sure you all are so excited to hear about my pumping and breastfeeding. Hehe. But it's very exciting to me! :o)
On Saturday, I officially put a pair of my pre-pregnancy jeans on, and they fit! YAY! Very exciting. I didn't eat very well this weekend, but I still think I'll lose some weight this week. After meeting, we are going to the Melting Pot (Diana, myself, Ashley, my mom, Diana's mom, and a few other people) on Wednesday. I am EXCITED. Thanks, Eric, for putting Duncan to bed. :o) I went out with Ashley on Saturday - we picked up my bridemaid's dress (it fits for now, but hopefully I'll have to have it taken in!) and had lunch at North End Cafe. This is where her shower is going to be next month. Then we went to the Nursing Station so I could purchase a pump, stopped by Barnes and Noble, and then she dropped me off at home. We went over to their house later, too, for a birthday cookout for Ashley. We couldn't stay too late because of Duncan's bedtime, but it was still a lot of fun.
Yesterday we visited the grandparents ... Duncan's, that is. We were with mom and dad for a few hours, and Duncan took a wonderful 1.5 hour nap in the crib there. Good to know he can nap in more than one place. :o) Then we visited Eric's parents and stayed for a little over an hour until Duncan got grumpy. We stopped at the Parent Teacher Store on the way home and bought some blocks that have a bell inside them. They're bright and will be good in a few months. He can hold them now, but doesn't really get it.
This morning, Duncan woke up at 8 and he's back down for a nap now. Well, he's trying to nap ... it's getting pretty quiet up there. I'm going to get ready while he's sleeping and then we're heading out for a few hours - bank, Kroger, Babies R Us (or Target, I haven't decided), then playgroup if Duncan's in a good mood.
No big plans this week except for the Melting Pot on Wednesday. On Friday, we're celebrating Father's Day at the Bats game with my parents. That should be fun!
