Even Better

Last weekend was even better than the previous one. On Friday, I sang "Samson and Delilah" with the Louisville Orchestra and Denyse Graves. I was in the chorus, of course, and it was an experience that I will never forget.

After the performance, I met Rob and Ashley, Eric, and Mike Timberman at Ernesto's out on Preston Highway. From there, we visited their house for a little bit and then came home.

I had an early start on Saturday for Career Conference. I am so glad that I went. It was an eye opener and I am so glad that I am a part of Mary Kay. It's SO not what I thought it was before I started this ... it's changing my perspective on a lot of things in life, not just the company itself. It makes me want to change for the better - to be more confident, to pour into women and to make them feel amazing, but the most important thing that I think I learned is that I need to have faith in myself, in God, and in other people. It sounds strange, but my experience this weekend is making me want to get closer to God. And you're saying, "All because of a company that sells makeup?" Oh, but it's so much more than that. :o) Before this weekend I felt guilty and nervous about asking people to do interviews and to come to have facials, like I was trying to trick them into doing something, but now I am so anxious to share this with people. It's not because of the money - it's because of how I feel and because of how I know I make the other person feel when they know they look great!

After Career Conference, Eric met me downtown at the Bristol for our "Star Dinner" where we got to pick out nice jewelry just for being a star consultant. It was a lot of fun and I really like my bracelet. :o) From there, we went home and I think we went to bed pretty early. Can't remember.

Sunday we were LAZY ... then went over to Ashley's to help her unpack. Rob is in NY this week for training with GE and so she's by herself. I also found out on Wednesday that Elizabeth wanted to become one of my team members - I am so excited for her!! :o) Now I only need one more amazing team member to get into my red jacket. :o)

Let's see ... choir on Monday was great, and meeting on Tuesday was even better. Last night was the first night in weeks that I haven't had anything to do ... we made dinner, I organized some stuff, we got some Graeter's, and went to Ashley's to watch Idol. Good times, of course!

And now it's Thursday. I don't have any plans for tonight (except to go to my mom's after work) or Friday or Saturday. I do have an interview on Sunday and I have high hopes for it!

Time to get to work ... we're pretty busy today and tomorrow!
