Happiest of Birthdays

I really wasn't expecting any presents this year, and I was totally fine with that. Although Seth and Jeanine's visit this past weekend was not under the best of circumstances (to pretty much say goodbye to my grandma), I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful weekend. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday are three of the best days I've had in a very long time. We all laughed, ate good food, and had a really great time together. I did get some great presents, though! ... a Yankee Candle, a Voces Novae, tote and hoodie, and some beautiful diamond studs from Eric. I did have to work on my birthday, and that was not too much fun, but the day was over quickly enough, and yesterday afternoon, Eric and I had dinner at Moby Dick (my choice, of course!) and got a Blizzard for dessert. We spent the remainder of the evening watching "Blades of Glory," "Beauty and the Geek," and "House." Good times! :o)

My last night at Loft was last Wednesday. I won't miss the working, but I will miss the clothes.

I've been struggling the past few weeks with my job - go figure - and I've come to the realization that I'm not okay with wasting my brain away with work that does not challenge me mentally. I think I have finally decided what I want to do ... and I've always wanted to do it, but we couldn't do it. I'm going to get my KY Real Estate License and become and agent for Semonin. Thoughts? Please share. I really think I'll be good at it, though - I like houses, love this city, I'm good with money (worked at the bank!), and I'll get to decide my own schedule. The more I work, the more money I make. Eric is supporting me and I am really excited. I know I get excited about things a lot and that they fizzle out to nothing, but we'll see how it goes. I'm going to a seminar tomorrow at Semonin to get info about classes and all that good stuff. I'll let everyone know what I find out. :o)

Eric is mowing the lawn and when he is finished we're going to the grocery. We haven't been in a while. We need cereal and milk, and he needs some lunches. Oh, and my Diet Sunkist. I have missed it these past few days!

Seth just called ... that's all for now.
