The worst news ever ... ABC is moving LOST to 10pm when it starts up again in February. Okay, so worse things have happened, but this totally stinks. It's going to screw up everything! We all have to work full time jobs and I know that not all of us are going to want to stay up until 11 to watch the show. I mean, we most likely will because we are addicted, but we won't like it! Haha.
Yesterday was a very productive day at work. After flipping salads and doing Cubans, I checked backups and (we needed six) and set up all the cakes that I needed for the rest of the week so far. I frosted 8 Skateworld Cakes (Ernie, the guy who picks them up, said last Saturday that they were going to have at least 8 for this week), put the borders around the bottom and put them in boxes, then I frosted the backups and decorated those, then I did the two orders that needed to get ready (one for last evening and one for Thursday), and then I scraped 1/2 sheet cakes that needed to be scraped because they were all runny and looked old. So I fixed those. Like I said, it was a very productive day!
When I got home I took a nap and made jambalaya for dinner when I woke up. Eric and I had a nice dinner together and went to mom's house to watch her unpack Christmas ornaments. She put up the tree yesterday (with colored lights - I think that's a first!), as well as decorated the back porch and bushes, and put a wreath above the garage. It all looks very nice. :o)
Life is good right now ... except for the whole diet thing. Yeah, that lasted a week and I was going strong, and then Thanksgiving happened. I have issues. But other than that, I am very happy with my job, everything at home (our big chair is being delivered today!), and me and Eric couldn't be better.
I told Eric to make me an appointment with the dentist. After he said that his root canal didn't hurt, I have faith in these people that they won't hurt me. So ... yeah.
I'm going to Terena's today and she has a long project for me, so that will be fun! She said it will take 4 or 5 hours, so I'm going at 11:30 and she's going to go grocery shopping for her party on Saturday and do her interpreting thing that she has every Wednesday. Mom is wonderful and has agreed to sit here and wait for our big chair to be delivered. It's supposed to be between 12 and 3 and they said that we're at the beginning, so hopefully she won't have to sit here a long time.
Alright, I'm going to have another bowl of cereal since I probably won't have lunch, and then shower and get ready to go. It's a beautiful day outside!
