I don't have much to say about the funeral - it was very sad and I haven't cried that hard in a long time. I don't know if the feelings that I've had are selfish, but all I keep thinking about is having to lose Eric someday. It's very sad and I have trouble comprehending how that might feel (unless I go first), but when I saw Papaw looking at her, I just can't understand how hard it must be for him - losing your wife of 60 years, the person you've loved your entire life and who knows you better than anyone. I just couldn't help but cry. It's so sad. I love Eric so much. When I hugged Papaw at the end of the funeral and I was crying so hard I could hardly speak, he said "It's okay, it's okay." He's one of the sweetest old men I've ever known - he's not supposed to say that to me! I'm supposed to say that to him!
So anyway, on Friday after the funeral and spending some time at Papaw's house we came home to change clothes. Then we stopped by Raatz Fence Co. to set up a time for someone to come and do an estimate. We went to Cave Hill to visit my granddad (dad's dad) and grandmother (mom's mom) because I guess I was in that kind of a mood, and then we came back home. I took a nap and Eric made Riceroni for dinner. He also recovered the chairs.
Work on Saturday was almost too overwhelming for me because I had so much to do. I got it all done, though, and left at 3:00 without having eaten lunch. Eric and I had an early dinner at PF Chang's and the Beef Lo Mein was FANTASTIC. I will definitely be getting that the next time we go, whenever that is. After dinner we spent a few hours at my parent's house and came home to bed.
Sunday we didn't make breakfast because we didn't have eggs or milk, so I made muffins instead. We went to Lowe's and purchased a garland for our mantel, then made our way to the grocery where we got a lot of good stuff. We shop well together. :o) Once back home we started potato soup and mom came over for dinner. The soup was a little thin, but it's always better the second day. Then we made some pumpkin pie from scratch and it was a bit mushy, but it is better the second day, as well. Hehe.
I felt kind of useless at work today because I didn't have anything to do. That made it a long day! But when I got home I took a nap and then the fence guy came over to do the estimate thing. He measured and will call with the estimate tomorrow. It's going to be a lot more than we thought, so I guess the fence will be a long ways off. We just got back from Lowe's and Watson's with Diana. We bought the two barstools that we liked from Watson's, but only one fit in Diana's car, so we'll go pick up the other one tomorrow. The one looks nice for tonight, though. :o)
Eric found out today that he's going to NY to training ... February 11 through 16. So I guess I'll be alone on Valentine's Day. Oh well. We are going to go visit Jessica in Florida in March and we'll go to Disneyworld. I am VERY excited. We can stay with Jessica and she has a friend that can get us free passes, so it will be a relatively inexpensive vacation.
Okay, that's it for now. We are watching "Mona Lisa Smile," and it'll be bedtime in an hour. We are old, but I don't mind it one bit. :o)

1 Observations or Opinions:
Piano, chairs and mantel look great!
No, you weren't being selfish at the funeral by thinking what you were thinking. I'm sure you know that anyway, but I thought I'd reiterate.
Do you take a nap everyday? I took a short nap this evening while watching the news, but it was only about 10 minutes. I love it getting dark earlier.
